I am what one might call a weather nut.  I have always had a great interest in weather and storm prediction, doppler radars, lake effect snow, all that sort of thing.  Amongst all my knowledge of meteorlogical phenomena, though, there is one major gap.  And it's important.  And it is embodied in this question:

Why do spring rains occur mostly on weekends?

Drives me insane.  I get all this great weather during the week, and then as soon as the weekend comes it goes to crap.

Of course rain is a good excuse to stay in and watch hockey all weekend.

Is that true? That’s an interesting statistic.

Provide the numbers so we can discuss this further.

Allright, you know damned well there is little evidence around to prove or disprove the point. How about we all think about it a little and see if you agree or disagree? Don’t you ever think that weekends get the shit end of the stick when it comes to weather in the spring? When you’re trying to get things done? Maybe it’s just me…
