How the hell did a guy with the name Englebert Humperdinck get popular?  Dammit, people change their names all the time.  Why on earth didn’t he?

    Englebert Humperdink IS a stage name. He actually CHOSE to change his name from Arnold George Dorsey.

    He took the name of a German classical composer.
